Kikundi Leadership Council Meeting, March 2026

On 18 March 2026,Kikundi’s Leadership Council met to reflect on the February Mid-Review workshop held during the fifth site visit in Togo. The discussion focused on the priority areas and various proposals that emerged from the workshop, and how these can shape Kikundi’s work in in the months/years ahead.

Council members reaffirmed the importance of the activities that members value most, including the online platform, mentorship, site visits, webinars, and other professional development opportunities. They also reflected on how these can be made more accessible, more visible, and more responsive to the practical needs of NTD Program Managers across the community.

The discussion then turned to the building blocks needed for Kikundi’s next phase. Members highlighted the importance of strengthening visibility with Ministries of Health and regional bodies, improving knowledge management so experience is not lost over time, and creating clearer governance structures across the Leadership Council, Advisory Committee, and Development Team. The meeting also explored ideas around stronger partnerships, community ambassadors, multilingual access, and better systems for tracking progress and supporting long-term sustainability.

Overall, the meeting helped translate the mid-review workshop into a clearer direction for action. It reflected a shared commitment to building a Kikundi that is more connected, more visible, and better positioned to support NTD Program Managers across Africa.
